DISCLOSURE
The following is largely a word for word reproduction adapted from a post just published by another Christian Substack writer. This is a first for me, but I consider the thoughts and insights shared by the Biblical Man critical enough for this to be shared in its original tone and context with some comments from yours truly. It is a timely article for us, especially for those who have decided to sit out tomorrow’s election.
Credit belongs to the Biblical Man
Be sure to send him some love if you found it beneficial.
He begins:
“They called it "spiritual maturity." In reality, it was spiritual surrender.

“As I watched godly men withdraw from civic duty, citing Scripture about "not being of this world," something profound struck me: Satan's greatest victory isn't winning elections—it's convincing righteous men to abandon the battlefield entirely.
"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." - Proverbs 29:2
This truth haunts me. Tomorrow, November 5th, millions of Christians will stay home, believing they're choosing holiness over worldliness. They couldn't be more deceived.
Let's shatter this dangerous mindset.
The Biblical Reality
God established human government. When Daniel served in Babylon, Joseph in Egypt, and Nehemiah in Persia, they didn't withdraw—they engaged. They understood a truth many modern Christians have forgotten: influence requires involvement.
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers..." - Ephesians 6:12
This spiritual warfare manifests in earthly battles. Every law passed, every policy implemented, every leader elected shapes the world our children will inherit.”
Early Christians understood the importance and sacred duty of voting. There was little ambivalence regarding the question of voting.
Their only question was who to vote for …
They understood that men fought and died so women and minorites might be recognized as citizens with a voice to be used on election day—regardless of your status in society.
The duty to impact the leadership and subsequently the laws of the land were on full display.
They understood the sacrifice made by those who died so they they might exercise their right to vote.
And their duty to impact the leadership and subsequently the laws of the land.
Imagine if Christians did not show up to vote so Abe Lincoln could abolish slavery.
The Deadly Deception
The enemy's strategy is brilliant: convince good men to do nothing in the name of spirituality. While we quote "be not conformed to this world" (Romans 12:2), we ignore Christ's command to be salt and light.
Consider the cost of our silence:
- Godless education shapes our children
- Biblical values face criminalization
- Religious liberty erodes daily
- Evil advances unopposed
"All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke
Your Sacred Duty
"But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith..." - 1 Timothy 5:8
Providing extends beyond food and shelter. It includes securing:
- Religious freedom
- Educational rights
- Constitutional protections
- Moral society
As we watch this nation embracing and celebrating moral decay—
As we sink deeper into spiritual depravity what are we to do as Christians this election day?
We can, and should pray.
In fact, we are commanded to do so.
Pray for this nation.
Pray for the integrity of the election …
“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land” —2 Chronicles 7:14
But we can, and should also exercise our right to vote.
What if you don’t care for any of the two candidates?
Do you where they stand on the issues?
Who is more supportive of the biblical positions and people of faith?
Consider substance over style.
Ultimately, no candidate is perfect because no man is perfect.
Maybe if we did not remain silent.
Maybe if we had let our light shine a little brighter …
Tomorrow's Choice
On November 5th, every Christian man faces a decision:
- Stand or surrender
- Engage or retreat
- Fight or flee
- Vote or vacate
"Choose you this day whom ye will serve..." - Joshua 24:15
Your Immediate Action Plan
1. Vote according to:
- Biblical values
- Constitutional principles
- Family protection
- Christian conscience
2. Lead others by:
- Speaking truth
- Sharing wisdom
- Mobilizing family
- Rallying church
The Eternal Impact
One day, we'll answer this question: "What did you do when darkness threatened your nation?"
Let your answer echo through generations: "I stood. I fought. I voted."
"Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" - Esther 4:14
Tomorrow morning, remember: your vote isn't just a civic duty—it's a spiritual weapon. Use it wisely, use it boldly, but above all, use it.
The time for spiritual passivity has ended. The battle for our nation's soul demands action.
Will you stand?”
